In this urgent final reminder, Abu Taymiyyah warns against the temptation to return to old sins immediately after Ramadan. Learn why the final 48 hours of the month are a critical test for every believer and how to ensure your hard work isn't "torn down" on the day of Eid.

As the blessed month of Ramadan draws to a close, we enter a critical spiritual crossroads that defines the true impact of our worship. While many focus on the celebrations of Eid, the final 48 hours are often where the hard-earned progress of the month is most at risk. Just as a building that takes weeks to construct can be leveled by a crane in hours, engaging in intentional disobedience the moment the month ends can instantly "drain" the spiritual battery we worked so hard to charge. Scholars warn that planning a return to sin is a dangerous sign of a rejected fast; true success is found in "perfecting that which remains" so that Allah may forgive what has passed. Eid is undoubtedly a day of joy, eating, and drinking, but it must be a celebration of consciousness—not a return to the very habits we sought to break. By guarding our conduct and intentions during this transition, we ensure that our Ramadan efforts become a permanent foundation for change rather than a temporary pause in a life of distraction.
"Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like the one who did it."
